Welcome Letter From our president
Greetings,
Between 1995 and 2007, Vincentian Academy- Duquesne University grew from 31 to 250 students. What is behind this astounding growth and success?
- An impressive 82% pass rate on the challenging International Baccalaureate Examination
- A superb cadre of teachers who participate in our distinctive Teacher Development System. They network with professors in the Duquesne School of Education and use vast educational resources of the University.
- An award winning community service program, a sports program that fosters almost 90% participation, and an array of activities in music and the arts and sciences.
Despite these impressive accomplishments, the Academy has a much more profound mission: to guide our students in developing a moral philosophy that will serve them professionally, and help them to nourish their communities and serve and honor their own families. The study and practice of our Catholic faith helps us find this moral compass, a set of values that will aid our students throughout life.
Please feel free to contact us for more information. Join us as we fulfill the ineffable motto of Duquesne University: An Education for the Mind, the Heart, and the Spirit.
Sincerely,
Timothy G. Rusnak, Ed.D.
Academy President
